It is important to understand the factors that are involved in recruiting, maintaining, managing, training, and retaining a talented workforce.  This week, we will examine the legal and regulatory compliance issues and how you can make it work using effective management.




Create a PowerPoint presentation in which you provide your analysis of the laws on the management of your chosen organization.




  1. Provide your audience with your input regarding how to implement and maintain a legally defensible compensation program in the organization.
  2. Demonstrate how three laws affect your compensation program and why.
  3. Determine how working within these laws creates an environment that encourages and values employee insights, input, and feedback.
  4. Create an employee contract that encompasses our learning this week and throughout the semester.
  5. Document how you would manage controlling your organizational costs.


Incorporate appropriate animations, transitions, and graphics as well as “speaker notes” for each slide. The speaker notes may be comprised of brief paragraphs or bulleted lists.

Support your presentation with at least three scholarly resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources may be included. 

Length: 12-15 slides (with a separate reference slide)
Notes Length: 100-150 words for each slide

Be sure to include citations for quotations and paraphrases with references in APA format and style.
