Objective: Demonstrate the significance of the Scholastics as central figures in the preservation of orthodoxy
The figures during the era surrounding the Scholastics period are heady to say the least. They bring the gift of intellectual reflection paired with a Greek posture for philosophy to articulate the Christian faith.
Read the relevant sections in your Olsen textbook.
Watch Medieval Overview –
Write a 3-page interview in question and answer format.
Choose two people from your reading (Anselm, Abelard, Aquinas, William of Ockham, Wycliffe, Erasmus) to do a journalistic interview (Question and Answer) session. Ensure the following points are addressed:
o Summarize the facts of each figure’s life journey
o What was the impact of the person’s life on the church in that era?
o What were some of his influential doctrinal teachings?
It is not necessary to apply a formatting style for this assignment except when using a source to support your writing.
